Really can't rate what you can't see!
Well to be totally honest this DVD failed to play in every player I've got. 4 in my computer, one internal and 3 external, it doesn't play in either of my DVD player equipped video game systems, XBOX,XBOX2?,and PS3, when I put this DVD into the DVD player in the living room that I got for my birthday in May keeps flashing "INSERT DVD AND PRESS PLAY." I'm S.O.L. I guess?
Sincerely yours, Tiffany Snow
Interesting Look at Drag in the Movies.
Narrated by RuPaul, and who better, this 50 minute documentary traces cross dressing in movies from its earliest days to the present. It covers celebrities of both sexes and the reactions of audiences in response to their portrayals. From movies as vast as Tony Curtis and Jack Lemon comically hiding out as women in an all-girl band to escape the mob in "Some Like it Hot" to Anthony Perkins' obsession with his abusive mother in "Psycho" and mentions of "Wong Foo" and the "Crying Game," it's all here. Naturally, there is a lot on Ed Wood, Divine, and Tim Curry in his most famous role as Doctor Frank N. Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The documentary also explores why women dressed as men are more acceptable than the reverse; ie Marlene Dietrich in several roles, Greta Garbo, and even Amanda Bynes in "She's the Man." Not long enough to be fully comprehensive, but an interesting look at gender roles and a brief history of cross dressing in filmdom. A fun and informative...
